ABOUT THE ARTIST

Aileen Chen's works seek to alter the viewer’s perception of “waste” by converting what is “unwanted” into creations worth their own spotlight. Each composition uses upcycled materials. In transforming materials, she resurfaces their value, and invites viewers to think more about the longevity of objects and the impact of our unrelenting consumerism on our planet.
